where did the nickname Fadiga come from?
well... it was coined by my MZINGWANE HIGH SCHOOL mates in recognition of my great
soccer exploits which they likened to legendary senegalese player Khalilou
fadiga. it's funny though that most of the junior students actually thought it was
in fact my real name...
Is it true that you once intentionally fouled one of your school teachers,
Mr Utete during a friendly match between students and teachers, be honest.
[laughs]....... no that's not really true , me & mr Utete actually had a healthy teacher to student relationship although no one really liked him. Sometimess we had our misunderstandings &
people mistook a genuine soft tackle for a grudge, that situation has
always hung over my head and sometimes I really feel I should have fould the bastard when I had the
chance.
what can you say about the National University of Science & Technology?
a great institution with extreme intellectual capacity. I must add that
the girls there are highly talented, their architectures are of the utmost quality.
can you tell us about the highest & lowest points in your life so far.
I feel that robably the time when I received my O'level results is one great time I'd cherish
to remember, I knew I had overcome all those who douted me...... otherwise truly speaking I have had many "highest points" and I know I'm still to reach my peak. Umhh...my lowest point should be the time when I lost my dad on the 11th of April 2005. Actually I'm beginning to doubt the biblicaly acclaimed saying that "YOU REAP WHERE YOU SOW" because this is one man who tried his level best to ensure that my needs where met and tell me now, where is he to reap where he sowed? This situation leaves me as a bitter man with more questions than answers but in a way I was relieved for him because he had suffered probably enough and needed to rest in peace. Sisonke "baba" till the end of time.
Who is or are currently your biggest influence?
definatly my mom and second daddy. You know I'm probably one of the luckiest people alive to have had two equally loving dad's in one lifetime. I'm really really short of words to describe what my mom has done for me, all i can tell you is she is worth more than the shiniest diamond. She has been there when it matters most and to put the icing on the cake she even has the stunning looks to match her larger than life passionate character. As for the new dad in my life I must
confess that the word "new" is an understatement to the achievement and love that he has showered unto me, he has been there for me even when my father was still alive and to me he is a true hero and role model the type you only get to see in premier blockbuster movies. These two people and my late dad have made me what I am today. I love you all...
what are the things you treasure most?
my family will always have a place in my heart. I must say that my heart is like a major
company listed on the stock exchange and people buy and sell shares daily. Well my family occupies
a fixed percentage of my heart as the legal custodians of myself and well the remaining shares are
up for grabs although they can only be earned not bought. So once you occupy a place in my heart as
a friend or... whatever just make sure you hold on tight because trust me you really wouldn't want
to lose that place.
why do you like girls so much?
[laughs].......[pauses, thinks for 1 minute, then laughs again]......Do I really have to answer that question?
Yes, you have to answer it.
You see people have generally had this mysterious
belief that I am the ladies' man, but actually if they
knew how shy I am then they would think otherwise
.....actually maybe you should be asking why girls like me because you see it's the other way round, they
scream and I just sign autographs...[laughs]
what is your phylosophy on life?
go and read the book of ecclessiatecas and you will get good words of wisdom
on how I believe life should be lived.
Tell us about the controversy which errupted when you were spotted wearing a catholic nun's
gown.
[open's mouth in disbelief]...that was a long time ago at Marist. It was a funny school civies day when you were
virtully allowed to come for lessons dressed in absolutely anything, and well my idea of fun was borrowing
from a good sister friend & dressing up as a nun. Of course it sparked an outcry from "loyal" church goers who felt
riled by a "sinner" in "holy clothing. Well ironically a few weeks after that incident I was asked to play the role
of a priest in the school drama and the school parish priest offered me one of his old gowns to use, you should have
seen me enjoy the last laugh!!!!.......[to be contineud]
